Why I love Avon.

I am so sure many don't want to be hassled with MLM's and having friends or family constantly trying to get them to host a party or sign up to become a representative themselves. Avon is truly not like other MLM companies. I am not going to run up to you and ask if I can do a free facial on you just to get my foot in the door. I have been in several different MLM's and I truly believe and love The Avon Company. With Avon, you can host parties if you want to...but it is not the only way to build your business. You have to believe in the product you are promoting and selling. This is your little part of a big company. Like a franchise. You must treat it like a business and not a hobby. With other companies you "supposedly" pay a high fee to become a Consultant or Representative of their company. With Avon...to become a rep., you pay a small fee of $10.00. You get an e-store for free for a short while. If you have someone purchasing from your e-store each campaign, you don't pay a fee at all for the site. Most everything is done in today's market through computers but we still hand out brochures, take orders through phone or face to face. We do have to purchase our brochures but they are at a reasonable price and remember we don't have a store for our customers to walk into to purchase our products so that brochure is our store. With Avon, you really don't need to push the product because Avon is known as a quality product at a reasonable price. People see that Avon name or logo and they know. I have had people actually ask me for my Avon book. Don't get me wrong...I do have to work hard at it. I am still new at this but am doing pretty good and continue to find new and wonderful ways to improve my sales. Okay...I will talk about sales approaches in my next blog. Promoting business will be in another blog later on. Although I am not a top sales lady, YET, I do love selling Avon and hope to be able to continue this until I do make a great living at this. IT'S FRIDAY!

First Day of Summer!

Well today is the first day of Summer and trust me...if you live in Texas, summer began a month ago. Had a great weekend except for the horrible heat here in Texas. Trying to find activities for children during this time of the season is hard. I tend to enjoy finding crafts and indoor activities during the latter part of the day. In the morning time, it is easier to be outdoors under the big shady oak trees. During the later afternoon, even the big oaks won't keep you cool as the heat just envelops all around you. Although it is cooler during the mornings, you still have mosquitoes. After finding two of them ugly boogers on me and killing them with my hand, I decided to run in and grab my Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus with sun block. Happy Father's Day!

Wow...today is Father's day 2010 and I just want to wish all those who are Fathers a Happy day. Thank you for being the dads you are. Thank you for providing and caring for your family. My dad passed away three years ago on New Years Day. It was a hard year for the family that first year when Father's day came. I missed going to see my dad and bring him his favorite brownies. Two things he loved were home made brownies and Peanut Brittle. My mom was about the only one who could make him the peanut brittle the way he liked it. So to all those who have had their dad's pass on...remember him with love and know he was an instrument in your life.

Okay...I found out what BLOG means

Yes...I did find out what "BLOG" means. It is short for "Web Log." Just some crazy person could not fit in two more letters because of laziness...who knows. I am still trying to find my way around this "BLOGGING" world. So many nice things people write of their lives. No wonder there are so many reality shows on the television.

Walked around this evening hanging Avon books on doors. Hoping to build my clientele. I must say... most women I saw and handed a book to were very courteous to me. I chatted for a minute and did not keep them from their task at hand. I just know if I keep my chin up and continue working hard...things will turn up in my Avon business. Hello...is anybody out there?

I just wanted to begin my blog with something silly. This is my first time Blogging. "Blog"...sounds almost disgusting. Blog sounds like something I might do in the bathroom or a way I may express a food I did not enjoy eating. "That was BLOG!" Anyway, I guess here I go. Blogging. My thoughts...Nothing...I got Nothing! But I did Blog! Hope to see more pages of others blogs. OH...I did make my Blog page pink because I love Strawberries and always have. Don't really like the taste of Strawberries as much as I love the color and smell of them. I am in my 40's and strawberries are something I have loved since I was a small child. Also...I sell Avon and pink is one of their big colors. I am a pink kind of gal. Love pretty pink and yellow things. So...There it is. I told you some things about me.
